Hollycroft Associates has a proven track record of successfully raising money from both the European Space Agency (ESA) and the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to help new companies finance their satellite based projects.
The European Space Agency (ESA) The European Space Agency (ESA) regularly issues invitations to tender for companies to develop either new technologies or integrated applications in satellite communications. Provided that your project falls within the envelope of their (broadly worded) invitation to tender, Hollycroft Associates can create a comprehensive tender with a view to securing a significant part of the cost. There is no equity cost involved. We have helped customers to finance projects including:
The amounts of financial support vary depending on the scope of the project, but the smallest we've assisted with was a €150,000 contract and the largest a €1.3 million contract. Proposal writing is not straightforward, and the document set usually runs to around 100 pages. However, the cost of the paperwork involved in writing the proposal and in execution of the contract is tiny compared to the usual equity cost extracted by venture capitalists for equivalent sums.
The UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) The UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) runs a range of schemes to help companies with innovative ideas. These can provide support from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand pounds depending on the state and scope of the development. Our favourite scheme is the research and development grant, and we've helped companies use this to finance projects including:
